 Christchurch Earthquake Announcement

Christchurch suffered a significant earthquake on Saturday morning at 4.30am. It measured 7.1 on the Richter scale and was centered 33kms west of the central business district.

There has been structural damage to a number of buildings particularly older masonry buildings, which dominate the CBD. Fortunately there has been no loss of life and very few major injuries, mainly due to the timing of the earthquake. The main disruption has been with provisioning of services such as water, sewerage and power. However, these have now been restored to the vast majority of Christchurch and surrounding areas.

With regards to EnaSolar, we have been very fortunate. Our staff are fine, albeit clearly unnerved by these events and are back at work this morning. There is no damage to our buildings or services and other than some materials falling off shelves, we have gone relatively unscathed. Apart from some minor clean up today we do not expect any disruption to business.

Thank you for your kind words of support, we now look forward to getting on with the business and recovering from what has been clearly a traumatic experience for many.
